Youth Mental Health: Signs of Suffering

Training type: Community Based Training

Date and time: Thu, 11/14/2019 - 9:00am to 11:00am
Location: 200 Metro Center Blvd. Unit #5 Warwick RI 02886

Nearly one in every five people, or 42.5 million American adults, has a diagnosable mental health condition; half of all lifetime cases begin by age 14.  Not every young person in psychological distress has a mental disorder; however, every young person will fall along a continuum of good mental health and mental illness. Join us as we explore youth mental health, learn to recognize the signs of emotional distress and  how to educate others in the campaign to reduce stigma and discrimination related to mental health and wellness.
