Employment Specialist Training-March-April
The seven week Employment Specialist Training is based on the Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE) competencies. These are evidence based competencies that an Employment Specialist should possess in order to perform quality supported employment services to individuals with barriers to employment. The training includes pre and post assessments, seven days of classroom instruction, structured performance employment activities in and out of the classroom, weekly field work assignments, along with ongoing monitoring of each Employment Specialist's benchmarks in order to improve the practical application of knowledge acquired within the training components. Classes run from 9:00am-4:00pm on Thursdays during the months of March and April.
