The training includes pre and post assessments, 7 days of classroom instruction, structured performance employment activities (field work), onsite mentorship and supervision, along with ongoing monitoring of each Employment Specialist’s benchmarks such as number of contacts with employers, number of completed job seeker interviews, strategies used to negotiate job seeker’s characteristics, number of hours spent in “active” job development activities, etc. in order to improve the practical application of knowledge acquired within the training components. Classes begin on November 1st and continue on the 8th, 15th, 29th, December 6th, 13th and 20th - seven consecutive Wednesdays.
