Employment Specialist Training-November-December
The Employment Specialist Training is based on the ACRE competencies which are the evidence based competencies that an Employment Specialist should possess in order to perform quality supported employment services. The training includes seven (7) days of classroom instruction, structured performance employment related activities (field work) and ongoing monitoring of the field work assignments by the participant's employment supervisor, as well as, the classroom instructor, during the seven (7) weeks of instruction and as needed for two (2) months following the classroom sessions. The field work is a critical component in assessing the employment specialist's ability to apply the knowledge acquired during classroom instruction to practical application. The class sessions run from 9:00 am-4:00 pm, on seven consecutive Wednesdays).
