Description:

The US Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP), and The National Center on Leadership for the Employment and Economic Advancement of People with Disabilities (LEAD Center) have  worked for years to strengthen the capacity of the nation's workforce development system to improve employment outcomes for people with disabilities. Customized Employment is a strategy that enables us to envision the possibility of paid community-based employment for all youth, especially youth with disabilities. Customized Employment begins with the presumption that no one, regardless of severity of disability, is excluded. Everyone is employable!

Join us as we explore the language of Customized Employment (Discovery, Job Creation and Employer Negotiation) as it translates into an individualized employment relationship between the job seeker and the employer that meets the needs of both.
