Road to Work is a virtual career networking event in support of SNAP Employment & Training participants

In collaboration with LISC, DHS and SNAP Employment and Training, the Center for Innovation and Systems Improvement is proud to present Road to Work, a virtual career networking event for Rhode Island SNAP program participants. Road to Work is designed to connect SNAP E&T candidates and local employers for a chance to discuss possible job opportunities, learn about the local job market, practice interview skills, and network.
Our candidates have been training for careers in customer service, culinary, banking, call center, truck driving, warehouse, auto mechanics, mailroom, hospitality, daycare, carpentry, manufacturing, janitorial, landscaping, retail, medical (CNA/medical assistant) and more!
Please join us to support the RI workforce and enonomic development programs and meet our pool of hard-working job seekers on July 21st !

Wednesday, October 14, 2015 • 11:30 am - 1pm Trinity Repertory Company, 201 Washington Street, Providence, RIProvidence, Rhode Island, October 7, 2015 -- The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) is considering changing some of its fares, including a new reduced fare for lower income passengers who are elderly or have disabilities. These changes are being considered as the part of a comprehensive fare study that the Authority launched in the spring. Due to the concerns of riders, particularly those who may be impacted by the fare for seniors and people with disabilities, RIPTA is holding this meeting to provide more information on the proposed changes and also to provide information on transportation resources in Rhode Island.RIPTA, The Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) and LogistiCare representatives will be on hand to answer questions regarding transportation options for seniors, people with disabilities and Medicaid recipients.
