Advocates in Action has been actively involved in producing a documentary entitled: Best Judgment: Ladd School Lessons. AinA is producing this remarkable film in affiliation with a production company called Harken Productions and in association with the Down Syndrome Society of RI. The film depicts the history of the Ladd school in Rhode Island, and describes the discrimination, stigma and prejudice that people with developmental disabilities have had to fight over the years. “We want to change the way people judge and label those who have a developmental disability…," says Deb Kney, Director Advocates in Action. "The film is about supporting the real change that we need in the state…the real change that the CEA is about.”
