Self-Directed Supports (for Adults with Developmental Disabilities)
RI Parent Information Network is conducting a series of workshops with a focus on community resources to families of transition age (14-21) students with disabilities. Community Information Sessions are mini-trainings made available to RIPIN staff, professionals and families throughout the community. A series of Community Information Sessions (CIS) will be coordinated by RIPIN, offering professional development training to RIPIN staff, professionals and families of transition age students. The goal is for agencies to provide more comprehensive information as a follow up to the basic overview that was provided in the Pathways workshop. This presentation will be provided by Claire Rosenbaum from the Sherlock Center on Disabilities and cover the topic of self-directing supports for students with disabilities ages 14-21.
